The Unauthorized Adventurers Gold Making Guide

Where is the best place to harvest nodes?
The best place seems to be in Everfrost, where the hunters and snow leopards roam (- 290,-250). The node spawns seem to be continuous and the environment is very flat so you can see nodes fairly easily, unlike Feerrott, Rivervale, and Lavastorm. You will need to watch out for the wandering aggro, but for the most part, at level-50, you can just as easily solo them.

For Tier-6 node spawns are “fixed” to zone locations and spawn the same type of node. Pillars of Flame and Sinking Sands are good spots to farm harvest nodes.

What artisan class generates the most cash flow?
For Tier-6, Jewelers and Weaponsmiths seems to do very well now with their imbued rings and weapons, respectively. The Tier-6 cobalt armor isn’t as valuable as the tier-5 armor, so tier-6 armorsmiths aren’t as in demand anymore.

Where normal raw nodes generate the most cash?
The food nodes are the best to sell and tier-6 food nodes can fetch up to 50sp each. On a similar note, I have seen normal tier-6 raws sell for around 10sp each. Much better than their tier-5 counterparts.

What’s the fastest way to get to level-40 (solo)?
Spend 2pp and collect the entire shard and most of the bone collection quests, along with some coin and leaf quests. I.e. any quest that is 40+. You should be achieve level-20 this way and will then need to spend some time on your subclass quest to move past level-20. Afterwards, run to Harclaves and you can level to 40 I in that zone in the next few weeks. I estimate you can get to level-40 in 3-weeks (1-day to 20, 1-week to 30, and 2-weeks to 40). That would assume you did 2 Harclave instances a day to level-30 or 4-hours a day and at level-40 you would need to spend an additional 4-hours of grouping.

Who has the most pp in the game?
I don’t know, but my guild leader is rumored to have over 300pp.

7. Appendix
7.1. Frequently Asked Questions
As you are already probably aware, most FAQ Q&A’s are listed throughout the guide. These are additional Q&A/tips that might be useful for cash flow.

What are your thoughts on the Desert of Flames expansion?
Overall, I like the expansion. The subclasses seemed to be a bit more balanced and the scout/mage classes are tops of the DPS chain. Zone content is a little disappointing since it seems either everything looks like a desert (outdoor zones) or a gloomy tomb (indoor zones). There isn’t a lot of information on raid mobs yet, but from first impressions, mobs tend to be a lot easier to kill (i.e. less health) and aggro control is much harder for the MT group.

Another interesting note, obtaining lots of cash in DOF is not a problem. The savvy adventurer can quickly pull-in a few platinum a day and most every artisan can make similar cash flow just by doing the trade skill quests. The disparity of cash flow between tier-5 and tier-6 is quite large. However, that’s probably not a bad thing, since that means more money (faster) in your pocket.

Where is the best place (e.g. zone) to go for cash flow?
For Tier-5, Harclaves in the best instance to go for cash flow and can be done solo. Assuming, you were able to do 3-Harclave instances a day at 2-hours per instance.

Where are the rest of the raid mobs?
Unfortunately, there isn’t a lot of information on raid mobs since DOF just release about 1- month ago. We will be sure to update this section when more information is available.

quite a few of the raid mobs will drop coin as a bonus for killing them. For example, Darathar will drop 2pp in cash, along with a master chest of various fabled items and tier-5 raw rares.

Raid Hunting Difficulty
Now these extraordinary rewards come with extreme risk and will require teamwork from dozens of high-level adventurers to be successful. As a result, you will need to find a raiding guild on your server that will grant you membership. Personally, I was fortunate enough to join the top raiding guild on the Najena server, Second Dawn, and we will typically hunt 3-4 raid mobs a day.

What if I don’t belong to a raiding guild?
Unfortunately your dreams of hunting Vox and Darathar will be more difficult. However, some of your smaller raid mobs (e.g. x2) might be killable with a good pick-up raid group and these mobs can also from fabled items or rares.

Cobalt ~2-3pp

As you can see, your best nodes are the gem and rock nodes. However, you might need to spend time harvesting everything else so you don’t end-up with all “junk” (e.g. wood, plant, etc.) nodes.

6.7.3. Solo Hunting
The solo mob spawn loops are probably the best way for an adventurer to make money by themselves. Personally, I have typically made about 2-3pp on 4-hour solo hunting sessions. The trick is to find the single to triple down arrow mobs that are grouped together. Each of these mobs has a good chance of dropping body loot (ranging up to a few gold pieces) and the final kill has a chance to drop a chest.

Tier-6 Solo Mob Loops
Mob/Loop Name Lvl Location Loc
Scorpion Loop 50-54 Plane of Fire
35, -515
Goblin Loop 1 54-56 Plane of Fire
400, -950
Goblin Loop 2 56+ Plane of Fire
300, -950
Harpy Loop 52-56 Plane of Fire
675, -1250

Again, remember to kill mobs that are in small, inferior groups (i.e. down arrows) and are non-animal mob types. The animal mob types tend to drop significantly less valuable loot (scorpions, sabertooths, deer, etc).

Can’t solo well?
I know there are a few subclasses that can’t solo very well, including healer and certain mage types. No problem, just find a nice hunting partner and the solo mob loops will effectively yield the same amount of cash flow because of the faster kills.

6.7.4. Raiding
Raiding is a very fun and lucrative activity for making extraordinary cash because of spectacular treasure from killing these epic mobs. Even the wood chests will commonly have a handful of tier-6 raw rares such as pearls, cobalts, vanadiums, etc. Additionally,

Now, jeweler imbued items seems to sell less versus some of the other class imbued items, but you should manage to sell around 4-8 a day at 40-50gp each. Overall, that’s around 3pp a day. For the level 59 crafter, you have 4 main end-items that will sell well:
Normal imbued items: Depending on your subclass, these can sell anywhere
from 10-30gp each.
Rare items: Jewelers seem to have the best profit on these since vanadium/pearl
rings are fairly well sought after. In any case, most crafters should be able to get 1- 2pp profit on these end-items.
Rare imbued items: Again, depending on your subclass, you can make up to 1pp
profit per item.
Adept-3 spell combines: Mainly from player requests. You can charge around
30-50gp per combine.

Looking for Work Tag (LFW)
This dandy tag does wonders for your pocket work and at level-59 most of your requests will be making adept-3 spells, rare combines, imbued combines, etc. Typically, I will get 3- 5 requests a day just on LFW work. At 30-50gp per combine, you can easily pocket 2pp a day. Furthermore, the better your reputation, the more LFW work you will get. Personally, I have quite a few repeat customers that keep coming back for adept-3 combines.

6.7.2. Harvesting Tier-6 Rares

6.7. Level 60 Money Making Tactics
At level-60, there are really 4-distinct ways in making some good money.
High-end crafting: Crafting imbued, rare, and adept-3 items
Harvesting rares: Pearls, Cobalts, Vanadiums , etc.
Solo Hunting: The various solo mob “loops” can make for very nice cash flow.
Raiding: Raid mobs will drop money, expensive fabled items, and tier-6 rare raws.

6.7.1. High-End Crafting
Level-59 marks a pinnacle level any crafter wanting to make serious money because this is the level where you can make your tier-6 normal and rare imbued items. As a 60-level jeweler, a normal routine:
See what sold from previous days sales
Buy some luminous extracts of the broker
Based on what sold, make appropriate amount of imbued rings.
Check current market prices and price my imbued rings a few silver pieces
lower.
Start the vault/merchant selling.
